Overview of the Position  

We are seeking a Chinese Translator who will accurately convert written or spoken Chinese materials into other languages, such as English, Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa while preserving the meaning, context, and tone of the original text.

Responsibilities and Requirements  

• Served as a Chinese translator for the production department.
• Assist with communication between English-speaking and Chinese-speaking employees.
• Provide management with clear and precise translations of written materials and interpretations of verbal communication.
• Offer interpretations for questions, answers, statements, arguments, explanations, and other forms of verbal communication.
• Ensure interpretations are delivered with no additions or omissions.
• Maintain proper coordination and reporting within the team.
• Adhere to applicable ethics and standards.

Qualifications / Skills  

• HND/BSC qualification in a relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chinese Translator.
• A valid certificate of accredited Chinese interpreting training.
• Excellent verbal and written Chinese communication skills.
• Proficient in using office equipment.
• Strong listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Clear enunciation and pronunciation, with a pleasant and professional voice.
• Good understanding of cultural sensitivity and the ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing company is an advantage.
