Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's objectives, including research and development initiatives, product roadmap, and innovation plans.
Lead the design, development, and deployment of base station systems, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering and development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to base stations, ensuring compliance and adherence to relevant guidelines.
Identify and establish strategic partnerships with technology vendors, research institutions, and industry experts to leverage cutting-edge technologies and drive product advancements.
Build and manage a high-performing technology team, including recruiting and retaining top talent, setting performance goals, and providing mentoring and professional development opportunities.
Develop and manage the technology budget, allocate resources effectively, and ensure cost-efficient utilization of technology investments.
Identify and mitigate technological risks, anticipate potential challenges, and develop contingency plans to ensure smooth operations and business continuity.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to align technology initiatives with business objectives and ensure effective communication of technology-related updates and progress.
QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:
A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering, computer science, or telecommunications is typically required. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are beneficial.
In-depth knowledge of base station technologies, wireless communications, network architecture, and related protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G). Familiarity with emerging technologies like network virtualization and edge computing is desirable.
Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a CTO, Vice President of
Engineering, or a similar position, with a track record of successfully developing and delivering complex technological solutions.
Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business goals into technology strategies and roadmaps. Experience in driving innovation and implementing transformative technologies is highly valued.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence.
A deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, market trends, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards governing base station technologies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and inspire teams and external partners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data and market insights. A proactive and results-oriented approach to addressing challenges.
Understanding of business principles, financial management, and market dynamics. The ability to balance technology investments with cost-efficiency and revenue generation.
