Chief Operations Officer at Integrated Corporate Services - ICSL

About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer plans, organizes, and controls all the day-to-day activities of the organization, collaborating with the Chief Executive Officer in the overall administration of the company. Responsible for the management of a portion of the company’s activities to ensure maximum profits and assists in attaining established operational and financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with the CEO, formulate and successfully implement company policy and develop strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the board;
• Prepare budgets, accounts, documentation and inventories required for the running of the organization
• Review the current products, brands, services and develop a plan to optimize returns on each line
• Take charge of day-to-day operations of the business and implement quality management to optimize cost, revenue and productivity. Implement measures and strategies to improve the working environment and business processes of the company.
• Build and maintain an effective team and ensure that the operating objectives and standards of performance are understood and owned by staff (permanent, contract and on-demand)
• Closely monitor the operating and financial results against plans and budgets
• Identify and attend tradeshows, industry functions, such as association events and other business functions to keep abreast of developments in the marketplace, to find new processes, collaborations or better ways to do business, Identify and attend tradeshows, industry functions, such as association events and other business functions to keep abreast of developments in the marketplace, to find potential new business.
• Assist in marketing company’s end-to-end solutions, services and products and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
• Improve Brand visibility and rating and create top of the mind awareness across, performance artistes and staff.
• Put in place staff service standards and institute a staff engagement/ feedback mechanism which includes  reviews and staff related statistics
• Prepare and implement project plans ensuring that they are executed to plan, cost and standards. Also ensure that project KPIs are attained.
• Provide timely and accurate progress, costs, trends and performance reports in prescribed formats and intervals to track progress.
• Protect organization's information assets within custody.
• Ensure performance appraisals are regularly carried out and performance management framework instituted to include rewards and recognition and consequence management
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and participation platforms or channels that will lead to an increase in brand visibility and staff engagement.
• Attend to other assignments as given by the CEO.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of a  Bachelor’s degree, A master’s degree is desirable
• 8-10 years of related industry experience.
• Contracts and negotiation experience.
• A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in the Entertainment industry with bias for theatre
• Must have experience in the following areas:
• Program, Product and Service Delivery,
• Financial, Tax, Risk and Facilities Management,
• Human Resource Management,
• Community and Public Relations,
• Profit Generation
• Active affiliation with appropriate Performing arts networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement.
• Ability to lead a team
• Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations in the Entertainment industry.
