    Chief Operations Officer

    Job Purpose

    • The COO will be responsible for the overall management of the company and will tactically position the company for greater heights in line with its vision and mission.
    • The COO he will lead the daily operations of the business, attend and represent the executive leadership at meetings, lead and implement various strategic planning processes and projects across the organisation and provide the leadership with important company information to prepare them for upcoming meetings or presentations

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in alignment with the CEO.
    • Drive the organisation’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction, retention and company goals
    • Manage capital investment and expenses aggressively to ensure the company achieves investor targets relative to growth and profitability.
    • Builds and maintains departmental structures, operating standards, and practices that are responsive and adaptable to evolving business needs
    • Facilitate creation and execution of operational performance and growth goals by working with key leadership; Leads the development and implementation of strategic plans that advance such goals; Translate strategic plans to staff to ensure support,
    • Support the CFO with the budgeting, accounting, reporting, and financial counselling of the leadership team to appraise operating results in terms of costs, budget, operating policies/trends, and increased profit opportunities; Analyse unit economics, revenue, profit, and cash flow opportunities for the business and recommend actions; Appraisal of corporate investments in general
    • Ensures strategic objectives are shaped at the Executive Management level and are translated into tactical business plans with mechanisms for key measurements in place to monitor progress.
    • Coordinates the effort of the different operational areas under management to ensure minimal duplications of efforts, maximize efficiency, and maximize value for money
    • Ensures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulations and laws governing business operations.
    • Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies and procedures to support overall company policies and objectives;
    • Establish and monitor performance-reporting systems (i.e. track performance against goals, ensure workshop and depot managers provide quality regular reports, and provide regular updates to the CEO;
    • Regularly evaluate operating procedures and create centralized best practices within different depots to ensure uniform performance throughout the company;
    • Direct the development and installation of procedures and controls to promote clear communication and adequate information flow to solidify management control and,
    • Take charge in high-priority crises.
    • Ensure that the joint venture projects undertaken are profitable.
    • Spearheading strategies to steer the company’s future in a positive direction.
    • Driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention, and company goals.
    • Controlling company costs, and introducing tactical initiatives to address theft and other losses.
    • Preparing timely and accurate financial performance reports.
    • Overseeing marketing initiatives and implementing better business practices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
