One of our clients is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our microfinance institution into its next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will bring extensive executive experience in microfinance banking, with proven expertise in public sector lending, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The CEO will be responsible for driving profitability, enhancing financial inclusion, and ensuring the organization remains a trusted and high-performing financial services provider.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, direction, and vision for the organization in line with the Board’s mandate.
• Drive sustainable growth in public sector lending, asset quality, and customer outreach.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, governance, and operational standards.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across all functions.
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships, including regulators, government agencies, clients, and partners.
• Oversee risk management and operational efficiency to safeguard the institution’s assets.
• Spearhead initiatives that enhance financial inclusion and innovative product offerings.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record as a Senior Executive (ED, COO, DMD, or equivalent) within a reputable Microfinance Bank.
• Strong expertise in Public Sector Lending with a deep understanding of the Nigerian financial landscape.
• Exceptional strategic, financial, and operational leadership skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of microfinance operations, risk management, credit administration, and compliance.
• Ability to inspire and influence teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Preferred Background

• Candidates with prior experience in Zedvance or other reputable microfinance institutions will be highly desirable.
• A strong network within the financial services sector and public sector ecosystem is an added advantage.
