    Chief Commercial Officer

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive customer engagement by effectively communicating the value proposition of company's products and service offerings.
    • Map potential customers and generate leads for company by identifying key partners in the supply and demand segments.
    • Collaborate with the business development team to oversee the establishment of key channels.
    • Ensure overall sales budget is achieved and / or exceeded.
    • Collaborate with the product team to ensure that company products and services are tailored for the needs of the identified target market, etc.
    • Responsible for managing the sales team; developing a business plan covering sales revenue, and expense controls; meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organisation’s National presence.
    • Ensure optimal staffing of the sales team at all times and ensure that all resources required for efficient operation and delivery are adequately allocated to the sales force.
    • In addition to the above, oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive training plan for the sales team. This should include a well-defined budget.
    • Oversee total compliance of the performance management process and reviews of all sales team staff.
    • Collaborate with other General Managers as required to ensure that wider Organisational objectives are met.
    • Motivate team members to function as a single unit working towards a common objective through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development.
    • Ensure that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the companys guidelines.
    • Regularly make field trips to supervise, organise and coordinate all field activities and ensure successful business campaigns.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
    • Membership of a recognized professional body (ISMMN etc.)
    • 10+ years' experience in sales operations, planning, regional, and global sales.
    • Strong and affective written and oral communication skills required to develop, present and execute impactful sales pitches to potential clients and highly influential stakeholders
    • A strong commercial background involving marketing, direct sales, sales and channel management, contract negotiation (experience of licensing is a bonus), development of pricing strategies, key account management and a history of growing sales, margin and market share
    • Stakeholder management capabilities for establishing, maintaining and growing strategic relationship with key channel and key partners on behalf of the Company
    • Deep and proven experience in developing Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies leveraging strong knowledge base of market segmentation and relevant business intelligence
    • Ability to identify new product opportunities and work with customers to position our client as their development partner of choice
    • Strong teamwork and leadership skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration, management and motivation of team members to achieve set targets.
    • Deep and expert knowledge in solution offerings across the Open System Interconnection (OSI) layers1-7
