Roles And Responsibilities

• Routine posting of asset, liability, capital, revenue, and expenditure account entries in the Tally Accounting Software after proper verification, compilation, and analysis of account information.
• Manage the Statement of Financial Position and Statement of Profit or Loss in adherence with financial policies, regulations, and compliance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Guide accounting staff by coordinating their activities on a regular basis.
• Maintaining an appropriate filing system as may be necessary for documents relating to financial transactions stated above.
• Reconcile accounts payable on a regular basis.
• Oversees handling of manual petty and cash reconciliation.
• Attend the weekly management meetings and make positive financial / business recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with Management, staff, customers, vendors, outsourced personnel, and liaise with Tax Authorities as may be necessary from time to time.
• Ensure regular remittances and settlement of both direct and indirect statutory obligations such as VAT remittances, CPF, PAYE, Development Levies, Business Premises levies, Withholding Taxes, Vehicle Particulars, emblems for vehicles, office/branch rents, electricity bills, telephone bills, among others.
• Derivation of cost estimates for products, base oil imports, and other one-off estimation requirements.
• Participate in the yearly stock-taking exercise, and relate with the External Auditors for yearly audits and other tax audit exercises.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in Accounting roles.
• Excellent Financial Accounting Skills, Financial Reporting, and Modelling
• Sound knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, QuickBooks, Tally, or other standard Accounting Software Packages.
