We are seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual with deep understanding of the FMCG sector in Nigeria to join us as a Category Manager.
The role-holder will play a crucial part in acting as the bridge between the brand sales team and the distribution sales team.
The sucessful candidate will be responsible for brand relationship management, business continuity, distributor and brand acquisition mapping and trade volume growth.

The successful candidate report to Head of Customer Acquisition and Brand Sales.
Main Responsibilities
Brand Channel Management: Analyze and execute brand trade channel pipeline for optimal growth.
Brand Viability Appraisal & Onboarding: Work with the Brand Acquisition team during the brand pre-signing phase to ascertain viability and onboarding.
Brand Partner Management – Manage the relationship with the key stakeholders of signed brands to ensure a mutually beneficial business relationship.
Channel Growth: Collaborate with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, and Operations to align growth strategies with overall business objectives.
Experience we think you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Previous experience (3-5 years) in a brand or account management role, preferably within an FMCG or a B2B marketplace environment.
Strong understanding of customer experience and relationship management.
Good business writing and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions. Knowledge of MS Excel at intermediate level a must have.
Self-starter with a proactive approach, able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Proficiency in the use of ERP and CRM tools would be a great advantage.
