    Cashier

    Department: Finance / Accounts Department\

    Report To: Accountant  

    Salary:  N 90,000    

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Receive and process payments for bookings, visa services, tours, and other transactions
    • Issue official receipts and invoices for all payments.
    • Maintain accurate daily cash reports and perform end-of-day reconciliation.
    • Record all transactions correctly in the agency system.
    • Verify payment amounts against services rendered.
    • Handle client payment inquiries professionally
    • Securely manage cash and balance the cash drawer daily.
    • Deposit cash and cheques as directed.
    • Coordinate with tour consultants and visa officers on payment status.
    • Report discrepancies or irregularities immediately.
    • Maintain confidentiality of financial records and client data.
    • Support audits and financial reporting when required.
    • Monitor and manage billing supplies (receipt books, POS paper, etc.)
    • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
    • Follow all financial policies and report suspicious activitiesassurance documentation to support project audits.

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. 
    •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    • 1–2 years’ experience in cash handling or customer service roles
    • Knowledge of POS systems, invoicing software, or Excel
    • Experience in travel, hospitality, or service industry is an advantage
    • Basic understanding of accounting principles

    Preferred Skills 

    • Experience supporting large-scale telecom projects, such as network rollouts or infrastructure deployments. 
    • Familiarity with permitting processes or regulatory documentation in the telecom sector. 
    • Ability to interpret basic project plans, schedules, or technical documents.
