    Caseworker

    • GBV Caseworker will provide confidential and survivor-centred case management and psycho-social support services to women and girls, including persons with disabilities, in line with GBV Minimum Standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide professional case management services to GBV survivors.
    • Create and maintain positive and fruitful relationship with women and girls who use the safe space and the general community.
    • Maintain accurate case documentation and update regularly.
    • Identify, train, and support GBV outreach workers and volunteers.
    • Supervise the work of the outreach workers and conduct regular feedback and debriefing sessions to facilitate their work in close collaboration with the GBV officer.
    • Conduct awareness-raising activities on GBV and available services.
    • Facilitate and co-facilitate sessions at Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS).
    • Monitor referrals and coordinate with service providers to ensure timely support.
    • Formulate appropriate responses to individual cases according to the acceptable standards and in the best interests of the individual.
    • Participate in field-level coordination and stakeholder mapping.
    • Participate in GBV conferences, trainings, and coordination meetings.
    • Make use of other services and referral mechanisms as appropriate and according to the requests of individual/ family.
    • Document client information through the accurate filling of intake forms and ensure confidential and safe storage in the GBV inter-agency case management forms.
    • Provide professional and confidential services to GBV survivors and Persons with Disabilities in line with GBV minimum standard.
    • Develop individualized case plans and referrals for women and girls including people with disability
    • Work closely with GBV caseworkers and A2WG/AGUF staff.
    • Apply Do No Harm, community-centred approach in all interactions.
    • Conduct community sensitization and awareness activities on GBV.
    • Submit weekly and monthly reports to the supervisor.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

    Technical Expertise and Skills

    • Minimum of Diploma or University Degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. (BSc, HND, ND, OND, or NCE)
    • At least 1 year of experience in GBV programming.
    • Knowledge of  GBV inter agency case-management  forms and GBV referral pathways.
    • Strong facilitation and community mobilization skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills in English.
    • Fluency in Hausa and Kanuri is mandatory.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and partners.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
