    Business Development Officer

    Key result areas/Tasks 

    • Preparation of Tender documents required for submission of tenders which includes Request for Technical information, Request for Budgetary quotes, Bid Acknowledgement form etc.
    • Developing Tender responsibility matrix.
    • Prepare inputs for Kick of Meeting for new Tender(s) and prepare subsequent internal meetings inputs as required.
    • Compiling and coordinating Tender inputs from various departments.
    • Liaise with subcontractors to acquire necessary subcontracts deliverables.
    • Prepare MTO’s, estimates of sub activities like surveying, ROV hire etc.
    • Continually maintaining and updating benchmark data and tendering costs.
    • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries, and tenders using appropriate methods. 
    • Provide monthly report of proposals, tender/bid status and necessary follow-ups. 
    • Ensure timely delivery of the tender documents either electronically (NIPEX) or physically and oversee audits relating to NIPEX requirement.
    • Ensure that regulatory permits, certificates, etc., are met and updated.
    • Assist in identifying business opportunities, document MOUs and contracts from clients and prospective clients.
    • Search for and participate in local and international conferences and exhibitions.
    • Generate engaging and educative posts for the company’s social media pages.
    • Other jobs that may be assigned by the Line Manager from time to time as the need arises.

    Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Duties:

    • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to the industry and regulatory requirements.
    • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or do not do.

    Education/Core skills 

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Survey or Business Management.
    • Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills.
    • Strong editing skills.
    • Great Bid Proposal Writing skills
    • Good attention to detail.
    • Ability to balance workload by managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
    • A team player.
    • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

    Experience

    • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar capacity, especially in the Oil and Gas industry.
