We are seeking a Business Development Manager with extensive experience in the financial services sector and a strong network of contacts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our presence in the Nigerian market. The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in identifying and pursuing strategic business opportunities within the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential business opportunities and market trends within the Nigerian financial services industry
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, and other financial service providers
Business Expansion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for expanding our products and services within the financial sector
Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, to achieve revenue targets and contribute to the company's financial success
Partnership Development: Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners, alliances, and collaborations that can enhance our product offerings and market reach
Market Positioning: Create and execute marketing strategies to position the company as a trusted and innovative partner within the fintech space
Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry regulations, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus
Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development and sales roles within the financial services sector
An extensive network of contacts and relationships within the Nigerian financial services industry - Banks, MFBs, Fintechs and a strong understanding of FinTech products and services
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Self-driven and results-oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
