    Business Development Manager - Media and Advertising

    Job Summary

    • The Business Development Executive/Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across media, advertising, and outdoor billboard platforms.
    • The successful candidate will build strong relationships with corporate organizations, advertising agencies, marketing executives, and brand managers to increase advertising sales and maximize occupancy of the company's advertising inventory.
    • The ideal candidate should possess a strong network within the advertising ecosystem and demonstrate a proven ability to close high-value advertising deals.

    Key Responsibilities
    Business Development & Sales:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for billboard, outdoor, transit, and media advertising solutions.
    • Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
    • Prospect and acquire new clients across various sectors including FMCG, telecommunications, banking, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, and government.
    • Conduct sales presentations and pitch advertising solutions to prospective clients.
    • Prepare proposals, quotations, and advertising packages tailored to client needs.
    • Negotiate contracts and close advertising deals.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
    • Conduct regular client visits and business development meetings.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling advertising solutions.

    Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning:

    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging advertising opportunities.
    • Provide insights and recommendations on new products, locations, and advertising formats.
    • Support management in developing sales strategies and market expansion initiatives.

    Advertising Inventory Management:

    • Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure availability and optimal utilization of billboard inventory.
    • Maintain an updated inventory database and occupancy reports.
    • Promote premium advertising locations to prospective clients.

    Agency & Corporate Engagement:

    • Develop relationships with media buying agencies, advertising agencies, and marketing communications firms.
    • Engage directly with Marketing Managers, Brand Managers, and Corporate Communications Executives.
    • Attend industry events, exhibitions, networking functions, and business forums to generate leads.

    Reporting & Documentation:

    • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and client database.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
    • Track advertising bookings, renewals, and contract expirations.
    • Update CRM systems and maintain client records.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Advertising, or a related field.
    • 3–7 years of experience in business development, advertising sales, media sales, outdoor advertising, or related industries.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Existing relationships with advertising agencies and corporate marketing teams will be an added advantage.
