Purpose of the position

Responsible for revenue generation, meeting defined sales target, creating and building customer relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement sales strategy as set by the power gen leader and devise local strategy for the territory
• Manage the relationship with the allocated customer base and satisfy their requirements
• Liaise with internal departments and individual to achieve company and customer requirements
• Look for new business, especially power projects, diesel and gas opportunities, power electronic offerings
• Collect market information and conduct competitor analysis including product and price comparisons
• Production of monthly reports as required and maintenance of " actual vs. budget" sales performance data
• Lead and manage regional sales dealership
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies, sales programs, promotions, efforts and events including goal setting.
• Develops service awareness in the marketplace to ensure sustained profit growth of sales in the company.
• Prepares written reports of sales activities including sales orders, backlog, forecasts, lost accounts etc.; provides timely briefings to the Management as necessary or as requested.
• Perform surveys and gather information on behalf of the company.

Skills Requirements

• Background in Engineering will be an added advantage   
• Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
• Exquisite communication and people skills
• Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
• Strong copywriting skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas
• Effective project management skills •Prior experience in the industry/market will be an added value
