    Business Development Manager

    Role Overview

    • ITEX Integrated Services Limited is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to support the company’s aggressive growth objectives across its payments and digital financial services ecosystem.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving merchant, agent, and partner acquisition, expanding transaction volumes, developing strategic partnerships, and identifying new market opportunities across ITEX’s suite of payment solutions, including POS acquiring, agency banking, payment gateway solutions, APIs, and value-added services.
    • This role requires a strong understanding of the fintech and payments landscape, excellent commercial acumen, and a proven ability to consistently deliver revenue growth in competitive markets.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Growth & Revenue Generation

    • Drive merchant, agent, and partner acquisition across corporate, SME, and retail segments
    • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for transaction volume, transaction value, and active terminals
    • Identify and execute cross-sell and upsell opportunities across ITEX products and services
    • Develop and implement effective sales and go-to-market strategies to increase product penetration

    Market Expansion & Intelligence

    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats
    • Provide actionable market intelligence to support strategic decision-making
    • Monitor regulatory and industry developments (CBN, NIBSS, NCC) and align business activities accordingly

    Product & Solution Enablement

    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of ITEX’s product offerings, including POS terminals, agency banking solutions, payment gateways, and APIs
    • Translate product features into clear value propositions tailored to specific customer needs
    • Act as a product evangelist during client meetings, industry events, and stakeholder engagements
    • Work closely with Product and Technology teams to provide market feedback and support product enhancements

    Partnership & Relationship Management

    • Build and manage strong relationships with banks, fintechs, aggregators, and enterprise clients
    • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and partnership agreements to drive mutual value
    • Lead periodic business reviews to assess performance, address issues, and identify growth opportunities

    Stakeholder Engagement & Client Management

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and partners
    • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through proactive engagement and timely issue resolution
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Technology) to deliver seamless service

    Reporting & Performance Management

    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline and CRM records
    • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports
    • Track KPIs related to acquisition, revenue growth, product adoption, and client retention

    Compliance & Operational Excellence

    • Ensure all sales and business development activities comply with internal policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements
    • Support adherence to ISO quality management and documentation standards

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline
    • Postgraduate qualification (MBA/MSc) is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in business development or sales, with mandatory experience in fintech or banking
    • Proven experience in digital payments, POS acquiring, agency banking, or payment gateway solutions

    Required Skills & Competencies

    • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s digital payments and fintech ecosystem
    • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
    • Strong analytical, financial, and reporting capabilities
    • Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships
    • Results-driven, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail
    • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
