    Business Development Lead - Agritech

    Job Overview

    • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and revenue, establishing partnerships, and managing key accounts.
    • As a Business Development Lead, you will be the face of our company to external stakeholders and will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
    • Additionally, you will be responsible for leading the business development efforts for our new farm monitor app, which includes conducting product analysis, identifying market segments and stakeholders, creating a business case, developing funding sources, establishing pricing strategies and revenue sources, creating strategic partnerships, developing a project schedule, identifying key personnel, and conducting product risk/reward analysis.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve business goals and revenue targets for both the company and the farm monitor app.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and analysis.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
    • Identify and establish partnerships with new clients and partners, including strategic industry partnerships.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
    • Track and report on key performance metrics, including revenue growth and market share other Critical Success Factors (CSFs).
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
    • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
    • Conduct product analysis to identify the potency and potential of the farm monitor app and its blind spots and defects.
    • Identify market segments, clients, and stakeholders for the farm monitor app.
    • Create a business case for the farm monitor app, including associated service risk analysis and barriers to entry
    • Develop funding sources for the farm monitor app.
    • Establish pricing strategies and revenue sources for the farm monitor app.
    • Create a project schedule and milestones for the farm monitor app.
    • Recommend key personnel for the farm monitor app.
    • Conduct product risk/reward analysis for the farm monitor app.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, with a track record of success.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic plan.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Experience managing key accounts and partnerships.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to travel as required.
    • Proven ability to increase competitiveness and market share.
    • Advanced knowledge of business development and sales strategies for new products in the market.
    • Proficiency in integrated business management.
    • Experience in identifying profitable potential clients and successfully onboarding them.
    • Competency in researching sales leads, presenting proposals, and negotiating deals.
    • Previous experience as a Business Development Analyst in the IT industry.
    • Self-motivated with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
