    Business Development/ Hospitality Manager

    Human Capital Partners (HCP) - Our client is a reputable Hospitality Institution. As part of on-going initiatives to strengthen its operations and enhance its capacity to achieve its goals, they seek to recruit a dynamic, passionate and resourceful professional to fill the position of Business Development/ Hospitality Manager in Lagos State.

    Job Summary:

    The role holder will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the overall hospitality and library service to the Institution’s members. He/ She will also assist the General Manager to market the Institution’s facilities in a manner that will improve usage.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and organize the institution’s events (competitions, art exhibition etc.)
    • Manage and monitor the utilization of the institution’s facilities including the Library, Gym, Swimming Pool etc.
    • Market the hospitality services and facilities to institution members and their families.
    • Coordinate the activities of the various special interest groups (e.g., art exhibition, book reading etc.).
    • Manage relationship with third parties required to provide services.
    • Ensure all members and customers receive courteous and efficient service from all staff members.
    • Handle complaints and problems promptly from members, guests and clients.
    • Coordinate the usage and training in fitness facilities including the Gym, Spa, Billiard, Sauna etc.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and house sub-committee.

    Requirements:

    • A first degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related discipline from a reputable institution.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience in a Hospitality or Business Development function.
    • Membership of a relevant professional body or a relevant post graduate degree will be of added advantage.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong persuasive, negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Gravitas, stakeholder and relationship management exposure required to inspire confidence and create trust.
    • Strong ethics and high level of integrity.
    • Ability to work independently and with very limited supervision.
    • Flexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing priorities.
    • High Attention to detail.
