Role Description

• The Branch Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Harcourt, responsible for leading branch operations and driving business growth. This role oversees daily branch activities, including staff supervision, customer service, loan processing, deposit mobilization, and cash management. The Branch Manager monitors branch performance, sets sales targets, and implements strategies to expand the customer base, particularly among micro-entrepreneurs. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies, managing risk, and maintaining accurate reporting and documentation. The Branch Manager also builds strong relationships with clients and the local community to promote the bank’s services and improve customer retention.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance monitoring.
• Branch operations and banking experience, with familiarity in loan processing, deposit mobilization, and cash handling.
• Customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage micro-entrepreneurs and build trust.
• Business development, sales, and target-driven mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities in the local market.
• Knowledge of microfinance principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance in the financial services sector.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in basic office software and banking applications, with strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; relevant microfinance or banking certifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within banking or microfinance, preferably in a branch setting.
