Blasting Helper at Dangote

Job Summary

• We are looking for a Blasting Helper who will be assisting in filling blast holes with explosives and detonating explosives to dislodge limestone and rock

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure proper handling of explosives and accessories
• Assemble primer charges using selected detonators, fuses, detonating cords, and other materials.
• Assist in loading explosives in blast holes by hand or direct movement of bulk explosives trucks to load holes.
• Handle, store, and transport explosives and accessories in accordance with regulations and ensure that safety procedures are observed.
• Achieve good fragmentation through proper stemming and good connection at all times.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Blaster from time to time.

Requirements

• A Primary school certificate.
• Minimum of two (2) years work experience in blasting.
