    Bakery Production Staff / Baker

    We are searching for a skilled, creative bread master baker who strive to provide excellent baked items in an efficient, professional manner.

    Job Description

    • To be a successful baker with us, you should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. You should have basic math, technological and practical skills. The right candidate will typically possess time management, communication, organizational and resource management skills.
    • You should be organized, decisive, attentive and possess a strong understanding of bread baking techniques.

    Responsibilities

    • Measuring and combining ingredients and using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods
    • Monitoring ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
    • Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
    • Designing and improving recipes
    • Requisition supply items as needed from storerooms
    • Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
    • Preparing and baking bread bakery items for menu and following standardized recipes
    • Create high quality and creative bakery products to satisfy the customer
    • Looks after the full bread production line

    Requirements

    • Minimum 2 years working experience as a baker
    • Extensive knowledge in bread baking
    • National Diploma or equivalent. 
    • More education or experience may be preferred
    • Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills
    • Attention to details, and adaptability
    • Basic maths and computer skills
    • Ability to read and follow recipes
    • Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders and create amazing baked goods
    • Flexibility to work around customer demands
    • Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment, and lift heavy items 
    • Understanding of bakery operations
