Job Summary

Our client, a bakery in Abuja requires for immediate employment the service of a Bakery Manager. The Manager will be responsible for maintaining the bakery’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. He/She will ensure efficient bakery operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

Responsibilities

·         Makes day-to-day decisions within the organization.

• Ensures that the bakery is adequately stocked with quality baking ingredients and supplies.
• Ensures that baking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Develops and implements advertising and marketing strategies to attract new customers.
• Creates suitable work schedules for staff members.
• Appraises staff performance and carrying out the necessary disciplinary measures to address poor performance.
• Trains staff to produce high-quality bakery items while following proper food handling procedures.
• Strategically arranges bakery items in display cases to encourage customer purchases.
• Inspects bakery items to ensure that established standards on quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal are met.
• Resolves customer complaints in a professional manner.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management. Masters Degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as manager in a high-class bakery.
• Extensive knowledge of general bakery operations, including personnel management, planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation and health codes, and security
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent leaderships skills
• Acute financial management skills
• Must be IT inclined
• Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets
• Comfortable setting priorities and delegating tasks as needed
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
