    AutoCAD & Scheduling Engineer (Gas Infrastructure)

    Responsibilities

    • Expertise in AutoCAD for designing and drafting detailed layouts of pipelines, compression stations, and CNG/LNG facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
    • Knowledge of ASME/ANSI and API standards.
    • Proficient in creating and modifying P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), 3D models, and isometric drawings for CNG and LNG infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and civil integration.
    • Ensure all drawings adhere to NMDPRA regulations, including safety spacing, equipment clearance, and gas pipeline diameter requirements.
    • In-depth knowledge of piping materials, fittings, MOC (Material of Construction), and the ability to generate civil drawings and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for project specifications.
    • Proficiency in structural material types and sizes, along with a foundational understanding of electrical systems for integrated project execution.
    • Proficiency in MS Projects/Primavera, with expertise in scope management, variations, and change management.
    • Strong skills in scheduling, managing schedule creep, and analysing S-curve data for project performance tracking.
    • Support the engineering and project teams in designing and reviewing site plans, piping layouts, mechanical structures, and facility blueprints.
    • Prepare regulatory-compliant drawings required for approvals from NMDPRA and other industry regulators.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and site personnel, to interpret and implement design concepts effectively.
    • Maintain accurate version control and documentation of all drawings
    • Generate as-built drawings, revisions, and updates based on on-site modifications.
    • Ensure spatial accuracy and technical feasibility in all drawings to support project execution and regulatory submissions.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, AutoCAD advancements, and new design software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    Requirements

    • HND/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
    • 2-5 years of experience in AutoCAD design for gas infrastructure, mechanical structures, or industrial plants.
    • Knowledge of ASME/ANSI and API standards.
    • Knowledge of all types of pipes and fittings types and moc related to piping.
    • Strong knowledge of NMDPRA regulations, including safety spacing, setback rules, and pipeline diameter standards.
    • Knowledge of type and size of structural material.
    • Basic drawing of civil work and bill of quantity
    • Experience with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), and structural layouts.
    • Basic electrical knowledge
    • Become familiar with Nigerian gas infrastructure design standards and approval processes.
    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality, accurate drawings.
