    Auditor

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough and systematic examinations of financial records, statements, and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Evaluate internal controls and processes, identifying areas for improvement and risk mitigation.
    • Perform audits of various financial operations, including revenue, expenses, payroll, and inventory.
    • Examine and assess financial statements, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and statutory requirements.
    • Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress.
    • Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensure the organization's compliance.
    • Conduct periodic risk assessments and propose strategies to mitigate potential risks.
    • Communicate audit results and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide support during external audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
    • Proven experience as an auditor, preferably in a relevant industry or sector.
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and auditing standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proficient in using audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations is a plus.
