Audit & Assurance Associate & Senior Associate at Doc Advisory

Ideal Candidate Profile

Will be responsible for overseeing, planning and implementing end to end client audit and assurance engagements. This role requires strong leadership skills and a sound knowledge and interpretation and application of Companies and Allied Matters Act, (CAMA) 2004 as amended, Nigerian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (NGAAP) and standards, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Companies Income, Personal Income, Value Added and other Tax Acts

Job Description

• Planning and execution of audit, taxation and transaction advisory engagements;
• Project management of all aspects of Clients engagement, developing work plans, agreeing timelines, team briefing, supervision and delivery;
• Carrying out risk assessments of clients’ environment prior to and during audit exercise;
• Identifying, researching and resolving complex tax, audit and other engagement issues;
• Compilation and review of management and letter of representation and other reports;
• Preparation of deferred tax and other regulatory computation;
• Preparation, review and filing of applicable tax rand other regulatory returns; and
• Responding and resolving queries from taxation and rother regulatory compliance authorities

Education & Experience Requirements

• First Degree or Higher Diploma Accounting or Finance or any other related discipline.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant
• Minimum of 2 years and 3 years cognate experience in similar role, respectively for Associate, Senior Associate and Supervisor.
• Ideal Candidate must Possess:
• Extensive experience in audit, taxation, financial reporting and transaction consulting;
• Well-developed leadership and supervisory skills;
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills;
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of persons, at all levels;
• Excellent Information Communication Technology (“ICT”) literacy and knowledge;
• Demonstration of practical knowledge of IFRS, IAS, ISA, CAMA etc;
• Willingness to become a trusted and dependable source with our clients;
• Self-driven, resilient, strong financial and management reporting skills;
• Desire to work in diverse environment and exposure to international environment; and
• Strong project management skills, decision-making ability, time management, prioritization, organization and evaluative skills;
