About the job

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (e.g., shareholder agreements, service contracts, MOUs, NDAs).
• Advising clients on corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, company secretarial matters, and general business advisory.
• Conducting legal due diligence, company incorporations, restructuring, and transaction advisory.
• Advising on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and investment transactions.
• Engaging with regulators such as CAC, SEC, NIPC, and NOTAP.
• Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions.
• Participating in client meetings, managing client relationships, and supporting business development efforts.
• Assisting with litigation and dispute resolution (if applicable to the firm’s hybrid practice model).

REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of *2–5 years post-call experience* in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department with a strong corporate commercial focus.
• A 2:1 or First Class degree from a recognized university and Law School.
• Demonstrable experience in corporate transactions, regulatory advisory, and commercial documentation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commercial awareness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal tech tools.
