    Associate Lead Scientist- Bioanalytical

    About the job

    The Associate Lead Scientist for Bioanalytical Lab plays a key role in overseeing and conducting bioanalytical research, experiments, and data analysis in a laboratory setting. They are responsible for leading a team, managing projects, ensuring quality control, and contributing to scientific advancements in the field of bioanalysis.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and supervise a team of scientists and technicians in the bioanalytical laboratory.
    • Plan, design, and execute bioanalytical experiments and studies.
    • Develop and validate bioanalytical methods for the analysis of biological samples.
    • Conduct data analysis, interpret results, and draw conclusions to support research objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., GLP, GCP) and industry standards in bioanalytical testing.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support drug development projects and research studies.
    • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines for bioanalytical projects.
    • Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, technology adoption, and innovation in the bioanalytical lab.
    • Train and mentor junior staff members, provide guidance on scientific techniques, and ensure professional development.

    Requirements:

    • Ph.D. or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry).
    • Extensive experience in bioanalytical research, method development, and validation.
    • Strong leadership skills with previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • In-depth knowledge of bioanalytical techniques, instrumentation, and regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of scientific achievement.
    • Proficiency in data analysis software, statistical methods, and technical writing.
    • Effective communication skills for team collaboration, project management, and client interactions.
    • Familiarity with quality control principles, laboratory safety protocols, and best practices in bioanalysis.

    Additional Skills (if applicable):

    • Experience with LC-MS/MS, HPLC, ELISA, or other bioanalytical techniques.
    • Knowledge of drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology.
    • Certification in regulatory compliance (e.g., GLP, GCP) or project management.
