Assistant Manager / Officer – Power Plant (Electrical) at Ascentech Services Limited

Role Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager/Officer – Power Plant (Electrical) to oversee daily power plant operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in electrical systems within FMCG or manufacturing environments, with hands-on experience managing Wartsila or Bergen engines and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations of the substation and independently perform overhaul, repairs, and troubleshooting of Bergen or Wartsila Engines and all utility-related functions.
• Operate and maintain Transformers, VCBs, ACBs, and related electrical systems.
• Provide expert-level electrical engineering support for transformers, generators, motors, relays, and cables.
• Perform troubleshooting and operation of DOL, Star-Delta Starters, and VFD Systems.
• Manage PCC & MCC operations and ensure efficient troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for critical equipment based on OEM standards; maintain all ISO documentation.
• Carry out maintenance and repair of PLCs, LV/MV/HV switchgear, and instrumentation systems.
• Ensure proper operation of all electrical equipment within the Wartsila power plant and associated facilities.
• Utilize computer-based tools and software effectively for reporting and operations.
• Demonstrate strong responsibility, honesty, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Tech / B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering with 10 – 15 years relevant experience (FMCG or Manufacturing Industry preferred).

Salary
N450,000 – N500,000 (Gross) Monthly.
