    Assistant Manager, Finance

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for improving and maintaining the financial standing of the company. Assist in determining financial strategy and policy, arranging the appropriate funding and managing financial risks in the organization. Be an official point of contact for all financial matters and one of the authorized signatories on some financial documents. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To proactively manage the finance and accounting services for the company. 
    • To ensure that the finance standards meet all corporate standards and that the finance team is able to deliver value for money support, timely management information and support the key performance indicators for RusselSmith. Preparing for Internal audit and ensuring consistent finance standards
    • Securing consistent and timely management information including bank reconciliations
    • Cash flow management and the supervision/management of petty cash across offices.
    • Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial forecasting 
    • Development of all relevant financial plans
    • Effective supervision of subordinates on a day-to-day basis including guidance of and delegation of work; ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and deadlines are met.
    • Supervising Bank reconciliations, revenue reconciliations, standing balances completed by agreed deadlines.

    Qualification

    • A good university Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. 
    • 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or similar financial role.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Skills

    • Excellent communication and customer service abilities for collections and dispute resolution.
    • Knowledge of credit policies, financial reporting, and basic negotiation skills.
    • Familiarity with GAAP or IFRS standards and experience in high-volume invoicing.
