Assistant Chef at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

Our Client is Seeking to hire a skilled Assistant Chef to support our Head Chef in creating delicious and healthy meals for children, while accommodating various dietary needs and restrictions. The Assistant Chef will be responsible for assisting with menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations to ensure the highest quality of food and service.

Salary: N100,0000 - N150,000

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Head Chef with menu planning and recipe development that appeal to children while incorporating healthy and nutritious options
• Prepare food items to the highest standard of quality, taste, and presentation
• Accommodate various dietary needs and restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegetarian, and allergy concerns
• Assist with training and managing kitchen staff as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
• Oversee food preparation and plating to ensure consistency and quality
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven work experience as an Assistant Chef or in a similar role
• Experience accommodating various dietary needs and restrictions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Certification in food safety and sanitation
