Art Director at Media Insight

Job Purpose

• To lead and oversee the visual aspects of advertising campaigns, ensuring high-quality creative output that meets client objectives and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop innovative visual concepts for advertising campaigns, in collaboration with the creative team and account managers.
• Direct and supervise the execution of visual elements, including layout, design, and artwork, across various media channels such as print, digital, and social.
• Provide artistic direction and guidance to graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and other creative staff members.
• Ensure consistency and adherence to brand identity and visual standards across all advertising materials.
• Stay updated on industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to continually enhance creative output.
• Present and pitch creative concepts to clients, effectively communicating the rationale behind visual choices and design solutions.
• Collaborate with copywriters, account managers, and other team members to integrate visual and verbal elements seamlessly.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Review and provide constructive feedback on artwork, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with client briefs.
• Liaise with external vendors, such as printers and production houses, to coordinate the production and delivery of advertising materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an art director or senior graphic designer in an advertising agency or creative studio.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with digital design tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and composition.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate creative teams.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities, both verbally and visually.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creativity and innovation.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
• Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative projects and campaigns.
