The Area Manager is responsible for coordinating the operations and service delivery of the Secured Mobility business in the assigned region. The jobholder will ensure excellent service delivery to customers in compliance with Halogen policies and procedures, manage client relationships to ensure the achievement of budgeted financial targets, and effectively manage the team for optimum performance.
Operations and Service Delivery

• Coordinate the delivery of excellent Secured Mobility services (Escort Services, Meet and Greet, Executive Protection, Travel Advisory, etc.,) in assigned region
• Take charge of the delivery of the entire mobility security businesses with effective and efficient processes that include; designing, planning, execution, monitoring and tracking within Area of Responsibility
• Ensure the availability of Commanders, Details Officers, Financial and material supports required for task execution
• Ensure compliance with all Armada’s guiding principles and SOP
• Coordinate and monitor the Detail Officers to ensure adherence to JM SOP
• Oversee the provision of required assets for JM & ER activities
• Organise logistics requirement for all operations; PPE, vehicle maintenance etc
• Review and communicate all incident reported and work-related problems to the Head of Operations
• Inform and communicate with Head of Operations, on either actual or possible hindrances to total and adequate security

Risk Assessment

• Carry out route risk assessment and Journey management plans for clients
• Assess and identify related security risks and define best fit mitigating strategies, solutions and responses
• Facilitate and participate in risk review workshops during the planning stages of new contracts or projects to ensure that all risks are accommodated contractually
• Continually monitor and manage operational and related risks.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Respond promptly to client’s complaints and ensure timely resolution
• Engage clients to provide security risk advice and operational support, strengthening customer satisfaction and retention
• Proactively engage and manage clients, internal and external stakeholders, contractors and partners including Government Security Agencies to foster good working relationship and best business outcomes
• Build and leverage relationships to support business growth and expansion
• Drive business retention within AOR by ensuring provision of superior end to end response capability by the Armada Team.

Team Leadership & Management

• Manage performance of reports and ensures relevant training and development interventions are implemented to sustain performance of subordinates
• Enforce security specialist technical and professional trainings for all reporting officers within AOR
• Keep subordinates abreast on changes in methods of service delivery
• Responsible for tracking, monitoring and rewarding the performance of the Commanders and Detail Officers
• Mentor, motivate and coach reports to ensure quality performance during service delivery is sustained
• Build morale, inspire achievement, and motivate high-performance in-service delivery within assigned zone
• Administer disciplinary measures to erring Commanders and Detail Officers in line with the company’s disciplinary procedures.

Qualifications

• First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution
• Professional qualification in security is essential.

Experience

• Minimum of eight years’ experience in security operations/supervisory role
• Experience in travel security and logistics will be an add advantage
• Minimum 2 3 years of Human/People Management experience
• Background in organization(s) with high level of operations across regions e.g., Travel and logistics
