Job Summary

• Marsand Bespoke Joinery is seeking a creative, technically skilled, and detail-oriented Architect to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be involved in the design and development of projects from concept through execution, working closely with clients, consultants, production teams, and other professionals to deliver functional, practical, and well-resolved spaces and designs.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, designs, layouts, and presentations based on project requirements.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and technical drawings.
• Carry out site inspections, measurements, assessments, and documentation.
• Interpret client requirements and translate them into practical and well-developed design solutions.
• Develop 2D and 3D designs and visual presentations where required.
• Review site conditions and identify design, measurement, and execution requirements.
• Prepare project documentation, specifications, schedules, and other relevant technical information.
• Coordinate design requirements with clients, contractors, production teams, artisans, and other professionals involved in projects.
• Work closely with the Company’s design and production teams to ensure designs are practical and can be properly executed.
• Review drawings and designs throughout the project to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Attend project sites and installations where required and monitor progress against approved designs.
• Make necessary design adjustments based on site conditions, technical requirements, or client feedback.
• Present design concepts and project proposals professionally to clients.
• Maintain organised records of drawings, measurements, revisions, specifications, and project documentation.
• Ensure projects are approached with attention to functionality, aesthetics, accuracy, quality, and practical execution.
• Contribute creative ideas and professional architectural input to the development of the Company’s projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in architecture, interior architecture, or a related design environment.
• Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, space planning, measurements, materials, and construction principles.
• Ability to interpret and develop technical drawings accurately.
• Strong visualisation and design presentation skills.
• Good understanding of site conditions and project execution.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work effectively with different teams and professionals.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, organised, professional, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• A portfolio of relevant architectural and design work is required.
