We are offering four internship positions within the Analytical Department for Graduate Level Students and recent Graduates in Sub Sahara Africa.
This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in drug development using statistical and machine learning methods.
Interns will work closely with Senior Level Quantitative Scientists to apply or develop advanced modeling methods, including:
Interns will also participate in seminars and knowledge sharing sessions and have opportunities to present their project outcomes to stakeholders and quantitative scientists at Novartis.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the application/development of quantitative methods for drug development.
Collaborate with quantitative scientists on real world pharmaceutical data.
Conduct research using statistical programming tools such as SA or R.
Attend workshops and internal seminars on drug development processes.
Present findings to Novartis analytical teams and key stakeholders.
Requirements
Enrolled in or recently graduated (within 18 months) from an M.Sc, Ph.D, or exceptional senior undergraduate program in Bio statistics, Statistics, Pharmacometrics, Engineering or related discipline.
0-1 year experience
Strong programming skills in SAS or R.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Motivated and eager to gain exposure to pharmaceutical analytic.
