Job Description

• Implementation and administration of Network security controls and management strategies to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability, and compliance of the bank’s network information assets.
• Development and management of network security policies, standards and procedures based on knowledge of best practises and compliance requirements.
• Ensure that network security software and hardware are up to date and that security measures are in place to protect against outside threats. 
• Also carries out other operational security activities to ensure that the organizations network is not compromised. 
• Activities include administration and management of firewalls, Internet gateways, Internet based DDOS protection, Internet traffic advertisement and filtering, intrusion prevention and detection as well as ensuring that only secure network protocols permitted across the network.

Responsibilities

• Configure Install and Support all Network Security Infrastructure.
• Responsible for administration of the firewall and monitoring of security tools.
• Security incident proactive monitoring and prevention.
• Stays current with technological changes that affect the security of the network, computers and other equipment.
• Revenue generation and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• B.Sc IT Computer Science or related field.
• Professional certifications like Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCNA etc can be an added advantage.
• 3-4 years IT security experience/ communication or network experience.
• Expert Knowledge of a variety of network management tools, test equipment, circuits and routers,
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stacks and firewall security in an inter-networking environment.
• Knowledge of quality of Service and experience designing/implementing QoS in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge in checkpoint, Cisco switches and routers.
