Accounting Officer at West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE)

Location: Lekki Peninsula Scheme 2, Abraham Adesanya, Lagos State
Salary Range: ₦120,000 – ₦130,000
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:00am – 6:00pm) | Alternate Saturdays (Half Day)

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Officer to manage financial records, support daily accounting operations, and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions. The ideal candidate must possess strong numerical and analytical skills, maintain proper financial documentation, and support efficient financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and payment records.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable activities.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and ensure timely collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and company financial records regularly.
• Track expenses and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Support payroll processing when required.
• Prepare basic financial reports and summaries.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Assist during audits and financial reviews.
• Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good record-keeping and reconciliation skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must reside close to Lekki Peninsula Scheme 2, Abraham Adesanya, or be willing to commute.
