Accountant at WosAm Arena

• We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee all financial transactions, track revenue streams, and manage variable expenses. You will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, handling bank reconciliations, and ensuring strict compliance with local tax guidelines.The ideal candidate does not need to be a chartered accountant (ICAN/ACCA). However, you must possess strong practical bookkeeping skills, commercial acumen, and deep familiarity with accounting tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Tracking: Document daily income streams from event bookings, ticketing, vendor spaces, and hospitality operations.
• Bookkeeping & Ledgers: Maintain accurate up-to-date ledgers, balance sheets, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Reconciliations: Perform weekly and monthly bank statement reconciliations to quickly spot and fix numerical errors.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and process monthly local tax filings, including VAT, WHT, and PAYE variations.
• Reporting: Generate simple monthly profit-and-loss reports to assist management in making strategic decisions.
• Expense Management: Monitor petty cash, track vendor payments, and optimize operational costs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3 to 4 years of hands-on accounting experience (experience in hospitality, entertainment, or retail is a major plus).
• Professional Status: Non-chartered candidates are fully welcome; practical execution is prioritized over certification.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, or similar cloud-based accounting software.
• Core Skills: Exceptional attention to numerical detail, high integrity, and great teamwork skills
