Job Description

• The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, producing detailed financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting budgeting and cash flow management.
• The role demands a high level of precision and the use of modern accounting tools to deliver actionable insights that inform business strategy.

Job Responsibilities
The accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Update and reconcile general ledgers,journals, and sub-ledgers on a regularbasis.
• Implement systematic checks to ensure all financial entries are accurate and complete.
• Maintain robust documentation for all financial transactions, making it easy to audit or reference as needed.
• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that comply with statutory and internal standards.
• Compare actual figures against budgets and forecasts to identify trends, anomalies, or opportunities for cost optimization.
• Create custom reports tailored for different managerial levels, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIS).
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes (VAT, PAYE, etc.) in accordance with Nigerian laws.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field with 2 - 3 years of work experience.
