Accountant at Mainland Group Limited

Location: Iddo, Lagos

Job Description 

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including: Accounts Receivable Management; Accounts Payable
• Management; Payroll Processing; Cash Administration; Non-Current Assets
• Management; Accounts Maintenance and Vouchering; Bank Reconciliation and Statement Audit; etc.

Key  Responsibilities

• Handle day to day finance and accounting operations.
• Administers payment transfers through the bank.
• Manage cash advances and reconcile retirements.
• Prepare and audit bank reconciliation statements for all corporate accounts.
• Maintain the non-current Assets Register and process depreciation, addition and disposals.
• Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and other management reports.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting entries and compliance with internal controls.
• Review purchase orders and payment vouchers for jobs executed by the company.
• Prepare reports on receivables aging and advise management on follow up actions
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Prepare special financial reports as required by management.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field.
• Professional certification (ACA) is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Salary
N500,000 - N800,000 per month.
