Job Overview:

Mimi Place is hiring a detail-oriented and ethical Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with financial policies, and safeguard the company’s assets. The Accountant will be responsible for tracking income and expenses, preventing financial mismanagement, and ensuring transparency in all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements.
• Monitor daily sales reports and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Implement controls to prevent fraudulent activities, unauthorized transactions, and mismanagement of funds.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure all bank transfers match sales records.
• Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Work closely with the General Manager and board to provide financial insights.
• Ensure payroll processing and staff payments are handled efficiently.
• Investigate and report any financial discrepancies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or retail sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting.
• Strong ethical standards and ability to implement fraud prevention measures.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
