Accountant at Furex Technologies

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
• Preparing detailed accounts and tax returns.
• Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements.
• Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data while ensuring that we are compliant with all tax regulations.
• Provide necessary support in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Generating financial reports that show the company profits, equity and cash flow.
• You will also work with the operations team to ensure timely bank payments.
• Ensure vendors are paid as and when required.
• Keeping an eye on incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable.
• Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status and examining expenses submitted by employees.
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations e.g. NHF, Pension within statutory timelines

Primary Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience working as an accountant (working in the fintech/cryptocurrency space is an added advantage)
• Solid understanding of financial models and taxation.
• ICAN is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages.
• Detail oriented and ability to work independently.
• Good written, verbal and organizational skills.
• Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
