Accountant at FMR AGENCY

Job Overview:

• Our client, a Microfinance Bank in Gbagada, is seeking three smart and detail-oriented Accountants to join their finance team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, and providing accurate financial reporting to support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank statements, and manage ledgers
• Ensure timely remittance of taxes, pensions, and other statutory deductions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Handle internal and external audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with microfinance banking regulations and internal policies
• Track and report on loan disbursements, repayments, and financial exposures

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience (experience in a microfinance or financial institution is preferred)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or any core banking system)
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting, and reconciliation
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
