Accountant at Excel and Grace Consulting

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the consulting team with insights and data-driven recommendations.
• The accountant must demonstrate a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial analysis, and tax management.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial data
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and handle tax filings (VAT, PAYE, WHT, etc.)
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Support internal and external audits
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data
• Provide financial advice to the management team when needed
• Liaise with clients on accounting and finance-related consulting matters.

Requirements

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a consulting or professional services firm)
• ICAN/ACCA certification (or in the final stages) is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools)
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
