Job Description

• We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic real estate firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)

Accounts Receivable & Payable:

• Process invoices and payments
• Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies

General Ledger Maintenance:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts
• Journal entry preparation and posting
• Reconcile accounts and prepare supporting documentation

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis

Taxation:

• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and filings (e.g., VAT, Income Tax)

Internal Controls:

• Maintain strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) is a plus
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
