Job Summary

• We are seeking a Junior Accountant to assist in the preparation of financial statements, maintenance of accounting records, and performance of various accounting tasks.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the accounting team and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Perform various accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
• Provide support to the accounting team in ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
• 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
• Professional certification (e.g. ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
