Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations with precision. The Ideal Candidate will be responsible for the management of the company's financial records, accurate reporting of financial data  including preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports: income statements, balance sheets, etc.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, providing insightful financial analysis.
• Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure all financial documentation is prepared and accessible.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
• Ensure timely statutory remittance of pension, payee, consumption, and WHT in line with statutes every month with filed evidence.
• Support management with financial insights for decision-making.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree/ HND in Accounting.
• 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software like, Quick books, SAGE.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS and financial/accounting best practices.
• ACA Certification.
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
• Attention to detail.
• Confidentiality and honesty.
• Budget preparation and monitoring.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Applicants should reside in Lagos.
