Accountant at CED Africa

To manage company cash flow by ensuring payments to vendors are only made only when necessary. This will be achieved by ensuring minimal accounts payables in days and working with the Supply Chain unit to negotiate better credit terms with suppliers.

• Process Admin works orders.
• Prepare Finance Memos.
• Process Payment of Vendor Bills, admin and project miscellaneous expenses.
• Properly upload all transactions in Odoo Accounting System.
• Payment of expenses, including admin and project miscellaneous expenses.
• Process Online Payments on payment platforms - Corporate Pay, and Internet Banking Platform.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES:

• To manage company cash flow by ensuring payments from customers are made when due. This will be achieved by ensuring minimal accounts receivables in days and working with the Sales & Operations units to control credit given to customers.
• Track account receivables from customers to ensure minimal risk exposure for CED Africa
• Send overdue payment reminders to customers in coordination with Operations.
• Control of healthy Company Cash Flow by tracking inventory, payables and receivables

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT & CONTROL:

• To manage company cash flow by ensuring spending on inventory is optimized to minimize cash being tied down for longer than necessary. This means maintaining minimum stock while ensuring operational efficiency.
• Review and Approve Sales Order based on adequate credit to ensure inventory release is tied to customer payment.
• Reviewing Purchase Orders by Tracking customer credit for purchase orders, to ensure purchases are made for only paid items.
• Reviewing Purchase Orders by Tracking value of stock related purchases to prevent over-stocking.
• Conduct periodic stock reconciliation exercise to ensure system records comply with physical stock.

BOOKKEEPING & FINANCIAL REPORTING:

• To ensure strict, accurate and up to date record keeping for all transactions to support company compliance to financial regulations, standards and reporting requirements to stakeholders and management.
• Process Admin works orders.
• Prepare Finance Memos.
• Process Payment of Vendor Bills, admin and project miscellaneous expenses.
• Properly upload all transactions in Odoo Accounting System.
• Payment of expenses, including admin and project miscellaneous expenses.
• Manage Petty cash disbursement and reconciliation.
• Prepare and control Allowance Advances to employees.
• Ensure balances of unused portions of advances are refunded to CED account.
• Follow up on outstanding advances and assure timely reconciliation.
• Reconcile advances, including review of receipts, coding of expenses and entering into Odoo Accounting.

Qualification;

• B.Sc. / HND in Accounting or Business Management from a reputable Institution. M.Sc. / MBA is an added advantage
• 3 − 5 years’ proven work experience as an Account Manager in any top FMCG, IT or Telecoms company.
• Good knowledge of QuickBooks, and other accounting ERP.
• Accounting certifications (e.g. ICAN, ACCA, etc.)
• Familiar with the Audio Visual / technology Industry
