    Account Officer

    Overview

    • We are recruiting a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations within a structured logistics and international distribution environment.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, payroll management, statutory compliance, reconciliations, and overall financial record-keeping across operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support business decisions with accurate financial data.
    • Ultimately, you will ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting to support operational efficiency and business growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.).
    • Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow across operations.
    • Track expenses, revenue, and operational costs while ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to management.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control processes.
    • Liaise with auditors and support audit processes when required.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role (logistics or related industry preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, payroll, and statutory compliance.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced environment.
