Account Officer - Bank Reconciliation at JMG

• We are seeking to hire an Account Officer who would be responsible for daily reconciliation of bank statements, investigating discrepancies, collaborating with internal departments, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.

Role

• Conduct daily reconciliation of bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Identify and investigate any discrepancies or irregularities in financial transactions and work towards their resolution.
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary information and documentation for reconciling accounts.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports summarizing reconciliation findings and providing insights to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify trends and potential areas for improvement in the reconciliation process.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation for review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-3 years as an Account Officer or in a similar role.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
