    Account Officer

    Location: Ota, Ogun State (Plant Location)

    Role Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations at our plant in Ota. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, supporting compliance activities, and ensuring the smooth execution of accounting processes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform debtors and creditors reconciliation and maintain accurate account records.
    • Follow up on outstanding receivables and resolve vendor payment discrepancies.
    • Prepare aging reports for management review.
    • Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
    • Assist during internal and external audit exercises by providing required documentation.
    • Process invoices and support transaction management and cost monitoring activities.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly management reports (MIS).

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an accounting role.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
    • ICAN certification or ongoing professional qualification is preferred.
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
