    Account Manager - Chinese Accounts - Africa

    WHAT WOULD YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE:

    • The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of existing key Chinese Accounts in the Africa region, obtaining, and retaining 100% or higher profitability from them, driving new and strategic business growth to meet the goals and aspiration of Chinese Agenda in the Region.
    • It is the Account Manager’s role to fully understand the needs of the client and the full suite of Intl. SOS’s products and services, to recommend the right range of services to the client with the support from Medical and Security experts, to properly advise the client on product and service benefits and features so that clients entirely understand the services they are contracting.

    Among other things, the Account Manager is responsible for:

    • Developing new business for existing Chinese clients, as well as managing renewal of existing accounts.
    • Planning and identifying targeted upselling and cross selling opportunities, migrating to bundle solutions within the portfolio of account, advising and educating clients on their service offering, embedding International SOS onto their policies and procedures to maximise client benefit.
    • Building and developing relationships with existing clients on a local and often global basis through an understanding of clients and markets in which they operate, defining and implementing solutions which meet their business needs.
    • Developing cross-border sales opportunities with other sales managers and/or regions as appropriate.
    • Generating proposals, pricing and driving contract negotiations across the complete range of services offered by International SOS as part of an appropriate client solution that satisfies and exceeds client's needs and expectations.

    WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS

    Required Work Experience

    • A minimum of three (3) years with a proven trac record in Account Management driving new business growth, preferably in Energy, Mining and Infrastructure construction with Chinese companies or business sectors dealing with Chinese clients in Africa or other Emerging markets.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain and close win a pipeline of sales opportunities.
    • Demonstrated successes in being part of a team to successfully account manage a portfolio of clients.
    • Direct B2B solution/consultative selling experience in complex/service industry with at least 3 years direct selling experience to large Chinese multi-nationals (SOE's and Private companies)
    • Exposure to working in a cross -border engagement sales environment including previous experience selling to emerging market.

    Required Qualification

    • Relevant Business Management or related Degree or Diploma

    Required Languages

    • Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently (oral and written) is an absolute must.
    • Ability to speak another language relevant to the covered territory and client base will be an advantage.
